My Story

I gained my basic graphic design skills and experience in my 4 years at UW Oshkosh where I received my Bachelors degree in Fine Arts with a Graphic Design emphasis in May 2025. I learned to use the technology, and create work that followed the strict guidelines of each assignment. It was mainly outside of class that I really was able to push the boundaries of my abilities and work directly with peers in the same industry, as well as getting face-to-face experience working with clients. I've had two internships, as well as working various freelance jobs that have helped me continue to develop my skills as a designer.
My first internship was at a print shop near my hometown, where I learned to communicate with customers and clients who came to me with design problems. I not only gained valuable design experience as I navigated through the challenges of design, but I oftentimes would oversee the projects creation entirely, including its printing. My most recent internship is with the Wausau Cyclones, which is a hockey team in northern Wisconsin. I create a variety of graphics that range from gameday and game announcements that are featured on their social media, to t-shirt and logo designs that will be used for merchandise in this upcoming season. I really appreciated this job, because it gave me hands-on experience working alongside a marketing team within the sports industry, which is what initially motivated me to pursue graphic design as a career.
